- Where is this going?
The materials and oral history interview gathered for this project will be donated to Lambda Archives of San Diego and either stored physically in our stacks or digitally on our private servers. Some materials will also be included on our website with permission only. - Will I have access to this?
The materials and oral history interview gathered for this project will be available to access by the public, including contributors. A contributor can request certain access restrictions if they wish. If a contributor wants to retain a copy of their item(s) you are free to donate a duplicate of your item. Similarly, oral history interviewees may request a copy file of their interview if desired. - Who is this for?
This project is for LGBTQ+ people who identify with the themes described above, and live in San Diego County, Imperial County, or Northern Baja California. Previous residents who have called this region home are also welcome. - What does an interview look like?
It can look like what you want. It can be virtual or in person at Lambda Archives or Collective office. It is about 1.5-2 hours. It is casual with breaks. We have set questions but you will be able to share what you like. - How will I schedule an interview?
Please list your typical availability on the form. We will reach out with some options that fit in that schedule. Please give us time to reach out as there may be a high volume of submissions. - Who will reach out to me?
You will get a confirmation email. And then when it is time to schedule you will be contacted through the preferred method checked on form (email/text/call). - Can I do this interview in a language other than English?
We are a small team but will try our best to match you with a volunteer in your preferred language.
