Angelica CastilloStudent Worker, Transgender and BIPOC Foundations of LGBTQ+ History in San Diego and Northern Baja California.
(she/her) Angelica (she/her) is a 2025 SDSU alum who studied art history and women, gender, and sexuality studies. Angelica is passionate about exploring the intersections of history, gender, and social justice as a way to advocate for community building and serving underrepresented groups. During her undergraduate career, she has conducted art historical research examining the ways in which artists use the body as a site of resistance, expression, and transformation, particularly within a feminist and queer framework. She is dedicated to diversifying the art world, specifically through museum spaces, by highlighting histories that were once erased or overlooked. In her free time, she enjoys visiting museums, going to the movies, and being together with loved ones! |
